Parks and Recreation Master Plan

Public Service Announcement

Post Date:08/16/2018 11:00 AM

Whitehorse – The Parks and Recreation Master Plan is now available to view online.

Parks and recreation play a vital role in our community and in the lives of our residents.  The City of Whitehorse developed the Parks and Recreation Master Plan to provide direction in maintaining these important community assets over the next 12 years.

The planning process, underway since January 2018, has solicited information, ideas, hopes and concerns from many Whitehorse residents, groups, and recreation delivery partners. This has helped the City identify a path forward in its approach to parks and recreation.

Council approved the final version of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan on July 23, 2018. The City sincerely thanks all those who took time to provide input this year.
