Draft agendas for Regular Council and Standing Committee meetings are posted three calendar days before the meeting is scheduled.
Council meetings run on a two week cycle.
Standing Committees meet on the first and third Mondays of each month, and Regular Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays.
All Standing Committee meetings are open to the public.
- All committees are advisory in nature.
- Committees review and make recommendations on all bylaws which deal with a subject matter of which the committee is in charge before the bylaws are presented to council.
Items of business discussed at Standing Committee meetings are brought forward to a Regular Council meeting to be voted on as necessary. No resolutions may be passed at Standing Committee meetings except those necessary to adopt the agenda, or to move in-camera when it is deemed in the best interest of the citizens to do so. Resolutions may also be passed to allow the committee to revert to open meeting, and to adjourn.
All Regular Council meetings are open to the public.
Regular Council and Standing Committee meetings are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers located at City Hall.
