The Bylaw Services Department is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy environment for the citizens by regulating and enforcing the Animal Control Bylaw within the City of Whitehorse.
Bylaw Services Constables are on duty from 8:00 a.m. to midnight during the week and from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays. To report a complaint call 667-2111.
Bylaw Services is located at the Public Safety Building, 305 Range Road, Whitehorse, Yukon, Y1A 3E5.
Dog and cat licenses may be purchased at the following locations:
City of Whitehorse (City Hall), 2121 Second Avenue, Whitehorse, Yukon from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding Statutory Holidays); or
City of Whitehorse Animal Shelter, 9032 Quartz Road, Whitehorse, Yukon from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday (excluding Statutory Holidays).
If your dog and/or cat has been altered please remember to bring proof of alteration when purchasing the license. We will also require a copy of your paperwork if your pet has been microchipped.
