On August 13, 2012 the All-Terrain Vehicle Bylaw #2012-21 was adopted by City Council and is now in effect.
An ATV Safety Course will be available online in 2013. Further details on the safety course will follow at a later date.
All ATV operators must have their Safe ATV Card no later than January 6, 2014
There are many excellent motorized multiple use trails within the limits of the City of Whitehorse.
ATVs must only operate on motorized multiple use trails between April 1 and October 31 in any given year.
In order for everyone to enjoy the trails safely, there are regulations that must be followed as laid out in the ATV Bylaw.
Only ATVs registered with the Department of Motor Vehicles may operate within the City of Whitehorse.
Requirements for operating an ATV within the City of Whitehorse city limits are:
• Motor Vehicle Registration
• Public liability insurance
• Driver's Licence
• Helmet
