The City of Whitehorse chooses its projects and programs based on its strategic plan.
The City's strategic plan is developed at the beginning of each new Council term and is reviewed and revised annually. The process for the 2013 Strategic Plan is well underway, with initial consultations having taken place with Whitehorse citizens. As a result of these consultations Mayor and Council have established 5 strategic priorities for attention in 2013.
A Strategic Solutions Workshop will be held on Wednesday February 27, 2013 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Westmark Whitehorse. Here, citizens will help the City explore options to achieve short term priorities and longer term direction. The completed 2013 Strategic Plan is expected to be released in May 2013.
