What's New?

Thanks for being part of something BIG!

Five new parks were first created in the
2010 Official Community Plan to reflect environmental and recreational values:
  • Chadburn Lake Park
  • McIntyre Creek Park
  • Paddy's Pond - Ice Lake Park
  • McLean Lake Park
  • Wolf Creek Park

The creation of these Regional Parks will ensure wilderness at our door-step for future generations.

Now that these Parks have been set aside, the Regional Parks Plan serves as a framework to help us determine what we want them to be!

Did you know?
  • Chadburn Lake Park is the
biggest park in a Canadian Municipality?
  • The City of Whitehorse has the most park land by area and percentage in a Canadian Municipality?
