Other Annual Events
CGC Hosted Events – The Canada Games Centre plays host to a variety of territorial, national and international competitions including swimming, judo, soccer, hockey, figure skating, volleyball and basketball. Celebrate our athletes in action by volunteering at events.
ShipShape Active Living Day – Celebrate the arrival of summer along the waterfront. Help serve up pancakes for community members at Shipyards Park, greet the public, or facilitate activities stationed along the waterfront to the Wharf at Main Street. This is a full date promoting Active Living!
Easter Egg-stravaganza – A family fun Easter event at the Canada Games Centre; includes an egg hunt, active games, coloring stations and the arrival of the Easter Bunny. Volunteers will bounce into the action and put smiles on children’s faces.
Remembrance Day Ceremony – Help our community remember those who have served for our current freedoms we enjoy. Volunteers help honour our local heros, plant the seeds of civic duty, and strengthen community engagement as they come together at the Canada Games Centre to remember.
Family First Night – Ring in the New Year with a family friendly countdown at the Canada Games Centre on New Year’s Eve. This is a night to remember, filled with carnival like games, live music and dance, snacks and prizes, ending with a fireworks display the whole community can enjoy.
