A joint Downtown and Marwell planning process was initiated in 2017, recognizing that together both areas form part of a “Greater Downtown,” an area comprised of a diverse mix of residential, commercial, service, employment, cultural, and recreational amenities. The new plans will outline the actions needed to ensure both areas remain a vibrant hub over the next 10 years and beyond. The draft plans are the result of an extensive engagement process involving governments, community organizations, businesses, and residents.
