McIntyre Creek Culvert Repair
Public Service Announcement
Whitehorse – The McIntyre Creek Culvert on the south side of Mountainview Drive will be repaired during the month of June by the City’s contractor, Ketza Construction.
The inlet section of one of the culverts will be removed and replaced. The creek bed will be excavated to enable replacing the inlet, while the banks will be armoured to prevent erosion. This work will be performed while the creek is diverted into the other culvert. The construction will be environmentally protected and monitored to ensure minimal impact. The aim of this work will also be to improve access for fish through the culvert.
While this work will not have any effect on the roadway, access will be restricted to enable construction traffic to enter and leave the construction area.
All work is dependent on weather. The work schedule is subject to change. Hours of work will be from 7 am to 7 pm. Work is expected to be completed by June 30, 2018.
