Millennium Trail Maintenance Work

Public Service Announcement

Post Date:09/17/2018

Whitehorse – Beginning this week a section of the Millennium Trail just north of the Selkirk pump house in Riverdale will be partially closed to allow our Parks crew to work on re-routing a section of trail affected by erosion.

The bank on this section of trail is moving very close to the edge of the trail and this poses risks to users.

City of Whitehorse Parks and Community Development staff will build another section of trail that will bypass the exposed area along the Yukon River bank. Reclamation work on the decommissioned portion of the trail will also take place.

The project should last approximately two weeks. Please obey all posted signs and respect staff and equipment working in the area during this period.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve the safety of the trail.
