Rotary Park Playground Upgrades

Public Service Announcement

Post Date:07/11/2019

Whitehorse – The Rotary Park playground equipment replacement project is set to begin next week.

City staff will be fencing off the playground and beginning to remove the existing equipment on Tuesday, July 16th. The new equipment installation will commence shortly thereafter and is scheduled to be completed by the end of August.

The rest of Rotary Park will remain open and operational, including the Whitehorse Lions Splash Park.

Users of the park are urged to exercise caution around City crews and equipment working and asked to follow all signs and instructions. There should be no interruptions to use of the parking and boat launch areas.

Alternative playgrounds in the Downtown area are the Jim Light Park at 3rd Avenue and Rogers Street, Eagle Park at 6th Avenue and Taylor Street, and the Black Street Park at 7th Avenue and Black Street. For a complete list of all City playgrounds and their features, please visit
