Dedicated Lane Pilot Project

Whitehorse – Whitehorse Transit will be piloting an extended dedicated transit lane project in Riverdale.

The pilot project, aimed at reducing congestion and transit delays, will be conducted over a six-week period starting Tuesday, September 3rd. The dedicated bus lane will be the northbound lane of Lewes Boulevard, starting from the roundabout and ending at Hospital Road. Cyclists will share this lane with transit buses.

Traffic congestion in Riverdale during morning peak commute hours can result in transit delays of up to 17 minutes across the city.

Everyone is reminded not to park or stop along any part of Lewes Boulevard during this pilot project.

Bylaw Services will be on site to provide support for the project.
