Whitehorse Transit to Host Virtual Town Hall

Post Date:09/29/2020 1:20 PM

Whitehorse – The City of Whitehorse is developing a Modernized Transit Route Plan to improve the City’s transit routes and schedules.

To create a plan that reflects our community’s needs for our transit system, Whitehorse Transit will host a virtual town hall on Wednesday, October 7 at 6 p.m. to discuss these proposed improvements and collect feedback from the public. Residents are also invited to provide input via our online survey by Friday, October 30.

In 2018, the City of Whitehorse commissioned its first ever Transit Master Plan, which envisioned a transit system that serves all mobility needs, leverages investments in active and sustainable modes of transportation, and is well-positioned for the future.

The Transit Master Plan study resulted in a set of recommendations to improve the transit route alignment and scheduling and better match travel demand for today and into the future.

Learn more about this project, participate in the virtual town hall and fill out the survey at WhitehorseRoutePlan.com
