Water Advisory - All Residents

Post Date:05/06/2022 3:43 PM

Whitehorse – The City of Whitehorse is conducting emergency repair work to the drinking water supply infrastructure from May 6 to 13, which will affect multiple areas of the community. During this time, all residents are asked to conserve water and avoid non-critical activities such as yard work and washing vehicles.

The work will include repairing a water main along Two Mile Hill Road. Residents may notice water discolouration and lower water pressure during the repair work. If tap water appears dark or cloudy, residents may flush the lines for up to 15 minutes, or until water runs clear. The water is safe to drink.

Once additional information is gathered by City crews, an update to the water advisory may be provided.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the City’s Manager of Water and Waste Services from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or the after hours trouble line 667-2111.
