The City of Whitehorse is reducing the regulatory speed limits in the Downtown Core. The regulatory speed limit will be changed from 50 km/h to 40 km/h. Existing school and playground zones will be retained at 30 km/h.

The City of Whitehorse is implementing a roundabout at the Hamilton Boulevard and Falcon Drive (S) intersection in the Copper Ridge neighbourhood. A roundabout is intended to improve connectivity and road safety for all users including pedestrians, cyclists, transit users, and drivers.

The City of Whitehorse is developing a permanent bus lane along Lewes Boulevard in the Riverdale neigbourhood.

The City of Whitehorse is implementing traffic calming measues along the McIntyre Drive corridor between Hamilton Boulevard and Hamilton Boulevard. The traffic calming measures are proposed to improve and enhance the urban environment and improve road safety for all users who walk, cycle, take transit, and drive along the corridor.

The City of Whitehorse is developing a temporary median along Thompson Road and a temporary traffic circle at the Thompson Road and Wilson Road intersection. The temporary median and traffic circle is proposed to limit illegal U-turns at the Hamilton Boulevard and Thompson Road/Heron Drive intersection by provision of a safe turnaround location.
