Input
What We Heard (and how we used it)
Numerous public engagement exercises were held to develop the Chadburn Lake Park Management Plan. The Planning Team had the challenge of matching public input with existing City commitments, capacity realities, and best practices in the field of park management.
The Draft Plan was released for public input in June 2016. An online survey and 3 public engagement events resulted in a significant amount of public input on the draft.
Along the way, we've produced "What We Heard" documents that give full detail on the comments and suggestions that we heard and how they were incorporated.
- What We Heard (Sept 2016 version) shows input on the Draft Plan, and if it resulted in changes to the Proposed Final Plan
- What We Heard (June 2016 version) shows input prior to the Draft Plan, and if it was included in the Draft Plan.
Feb 2016 Chadburn Ideas Fair
At this very well-attended event, participants had the opportunity to provide input in a variety of ways. Below are some examples of the input we received:
Selfie Station: #iheartchadburn because...
Vision: What should Chadburn look and feel like in the future?
Values: What makes Chadburn Lake Park special for you?
Dec 2015 ChalkTalk @ CGC
An interactive display was set up at the Canada Games Centre. Below is a sample of the input we received, or you can download all of the input.
