The City offers financial assistance to encourage volunteer community groups and organizations to further improve and develop recreation opportunities for Whitehorse citizens.
- Category 1 – Recreation Grants
Funding may be available to volunteer community groups and organizations in Whitehorse to further improve or develop recreation opportunities for Whitehorse citizens. Eligibility includes program assistance, leadership development, capital, equipment, and operation and maintenance.
Deadlines: March 15 and September 15
- Category 2 – Recreation Facilities / Parks
Funding may be available for capital, ongoing operation and maintenance, and program assistance costs for non-City owned public recreation facilities and/or park enhancement projects.
Deadline: March 15
- Category 3 – Arts / Cultural Facilities
Funding may be available for capital, ongoing operation and maintenance, and program assistance costs for non-City owned public facilities of an arts and/or heritage nature.
Deadline: March 15
The total amount available for 2019 Recreation Grants is $200,000. Please note that we receive a high volume of applications. If you have questions regarding your application, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org well in advance of the deadlines.
