SUMMARY:City Council Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The next City Council Meeting is on Monday\, August 24 at 5:30 pm at City Hall.  Please use the Steele Street Entrance. \nThe focus of this meeting will be the Public Hearing on the proposed amendment to the Official Community Plan that is currently before Council. \nVisit whitehorse.ca/amendments for more information about the proposed amendment. \nThe Public Hearing is expected to have a large attendance\, and seating is limited in Council Chambers. \nPlease note: \n\nresidents can provide input at any time up until the Public Hearing is closed on August 24 by emailing publicinput@whitehorse.ca.\nIt is not necessary to participate in person at the Public Hearing to have your input considered.\nAll input received\, whether in-person or via written submission\, is given equal weight in the public input process.\nTo accommodate all those wishing to speak at the Public Hearing\, residents may be required to exit Council Chambers after participating. There will be other areas in City Hall where interested residents can watch the meeting.\n\nIf you have any questions about providing input during this process\, please contact Legislative Services at legsvcs@whitehorse.ca. \nAll other business currently before Council will be dealt with at a meeting on Monday\, August 31 at 5:30pm at City Hall. Visit whitehorse.ca/meetings for more information. \nThe new elevator at City Hall is not yet ready for use.  Residents with limited mobility that would like to attend or participate will continue to be accommodated in the Heritage Boardroom. Staff will be available to help guide attendees at City Hall.
