Through hands-on activities\, this program offers a chance to discover more about large mammals like bears\, wolves\, moose and caribou. \n\nThe Disciples Robotics Team\nJoin the team for an exciting demonstration of what it takes to compete in a robotics competition—from building robots to putting them into action! \nHumane Society Yukon\nThe Humane Society team will be demonstrating how to safely handle and care for dogs and puppies. \n\n\nWe’ll also have the City’s Water and Waste team joining the fun with waste diversion-themed cornhole\, and the Bylaw team attending to talk about bike safety. The Whitehorse Fire Department will also be in the park to chat about general fire and home safety. \nThe City’s Parks team is bringing games\, freezies and Klondike Kettle Corn to share! \n\nTo ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all\, we kindly ask that children under 12 be accompanied by a guardian throughout the event. Crafts\, games\, stories\, and more. \nYukon University\nTry out STEAM (Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Arts\, and Math) activities with Yukon University. \nThe Disciples Robotics Team\nLearn the basics of driving\, building\, and competing in a robotics competition. \n\n\nWe’ll also have the City’s Sustainability team joining the fun to explore ways – big and small – to act on climate change and leave a smaller footprint.  The Whitehorse Fire Department will be on-hand with information about fire and home safety and Bylaw Services will provide information about the importance of having your animal on-leash while out and about in the city.
