DESCRIPTION:Kick off your weekend every Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at your neighbourhood parks! \nThe City of Whitehorse\, along with our community partners\, invites families to join us for an unforgettable experience at your neighbourhood park. Where fun meets community! \nGames and activities\nSnacks and refreshments\nMusic\, fun and learning \nAt this week’s Fridays in the Park: \nYukon Invasive Species Council\nExplore the world of plants – invasive and non-invasive – with hands-on crafts and games. Design your own nature headband or bookmark. \n\nElder Active\nAim\, toss\, and win a prize – for Seniors and Elders. \nThe Disciples Robotics Team\nTeaching kids about the basics of driving\, building and competing in a robotics competition \n\n\nWe’ll also have the City’s Sustainability team joining the fun to explore ways – big and small – to act on climate change and leave a smaller footprint.  Recreation will be on-hand with games\, and Bylaw Services will also be attending to provide education about keeping animals on leash. The Whitehorse Fire Department will have also some general fire and home safety tips for residents. \nThe City’s Parks team is bringing games\, freezies and Klondike Kettle Corn to share! \n\nTo ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all\, we kindly ask that children under 12 be accompanied by a guardian throughout the event.
