Join the CGC Aquatics team for safety-themed activities\, games and demonstrations! \nThursday\, July 16\nFireweed Market Booth\nShipyards Park\n3 to 7 pm\nJoin the CGC aquatics team at the Fireweed Community Market as part of National Drowning Prevention Week! The pool staff will be populating a booth full of water safety-related games and activities\, amazing prizes\, and awesome tidbits on how to stay safe around the Yukon’s beautiful waterbodies. Whether you are a seasoned Yukon kayaker or a parent looking to educate their young ones\, we hope to see you at this free activity! \nSunday\, July 19*\nLake Day with the Aquatics Team\nLong Lake\n11 am – 4 pm\nThe CGC aquatics team will be present at Long Lake for an afternoon of fun! As part of National Drowning Prevention Week\, lifeguards will be at the lake to ensure safety around the water and a fantastic beach day overall. \nMonday\, July 20\nFree Swim at the CGC Pool\nCanada Games Centre\n12 to 3 pm\nAs part of National Drowning Prevention Week\, the CGC pool is offering a public swim free of charge! Come to the pool to enjoy the diving board\, rope swing\, and waterslide without worrying about a wristband.\nSponsored by the Whitehorse Lions Club. \nTuesday\, July 21\nCanoe Basics with YCKC at the CGC Pool\nCanada Games Centre\n1 to 3 pm\nAs part of National Drowning Prevention Week\, the CGC pool is partnering with the Yukon Canoe and Kayak Club to host an event! More information about this amazing event to come. \nWednesday\, July 22*\nConnect with a Lifeguard\nRotary Park and Shipyards Park\n1 to 3 pm\nThis event is part of National Drowning Prevention Week! More information to come! \nSaturday\, July 25\nJunior Lifeguarding Competition at the CGC Pool\nCanada Games Centre\n10 am to 2:00 pm\nAs part of National Drowning Prevention Week\, the CGC pool is hosting a Junior Lifeguard Competition!
