The City’s new Robert Service Campground building is open.
The new building includes a fully-equipped kitchen that is available to book.
The new building also features Linda Rapp Landing, a 1550 square foot common space inside the Robert Service Campground building. With a gas fireplace and forest views, Linda Rapp Landing is an ideal space for weddings, retreats, meetings and more. It can accommodate up to 80 people seated with tables, or up to 100 without tables.
Linda Rapp Landing is available for bookings daily from 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. between late May and early September. From early September to late May, it is available from 7 a.m. – 11 p.m.
The space is dedicated to the late Linda Rapp, former City Manager and employee of the City of Whitehorse from 1984 to 2021. Linda was passionate about activating the Robert Service Campground and drawing more people to this beautiful spot along the river, with access to greenspace and programming that would bring community together. Linda Rapp Landing honours her commitment to recreational opportunities and the many contributions she made to Whitehorse and the broader community.
This project was funded by the Government of Canada and the Government of Yukon.
