Volunteer Stars 2018

Across the country, 13.3 million Canadians contribute 2.1 billion hours, the equivalent of 1.1 million full-time jobs (Canada Survey on Giving, Volunteering and Participating, 2010).

The City of Whitehorse values the importance of volunteers and their contributions to our community. It celebrates and publicly acknowledges outstanding volunteers by providing an opportunity for citizens to recognize and appreciate volunteers who have made significant impacts to their organizations.

The City annually invites your organization to nominate an individual as a candidate for this honour. The nominee should be someone who has made a significant contribution to your organization or to the community as a whole.
