Waste Management Facility upgrades

Work is scheduled to improve the perimeter fence of the City’s Waste Management Facility starting September 17.

A new fence will be built that will integrate chain-link with electric fencing for additional security. There will also be ditching and culvert work, access road construction and well work done as part of the upgrades.

To accommodate the work, the public trail that runs along the perimeter of the Waste Management Facility will be closed from September 17 to October 31. Trail users are advised to find alternative routes.

These improvements will not impact regular operations of the facility and residents can continue to use the landfill as they normally would.

The City appreciates the public’s patience while these important improvements are underway.
