National Family Week
October 5-9, 2026
Celebrate National Family Week at the Canada Games Centre with a week of FREE family activities designed to get families moving, creating, exploring, and spending time together.
Activities include soccer, Zumba, crafts, basketball, outdoor adventures, floor hockey, skating, and more.
Parent/guardian participation is required for all activities, except Glow Skate, which is open to the general public.
Schedule
Monday, October 5
- Family Soccer 5:00-7:00 p.m. | Fieldhouse
Run, kick, and get the whole family involved in a soccer game.
Tuesday, October 6
- Family Zumba 4:45-5:30 p.m. | Flexihall
Get the whole family moving to the beat with our Zumba instructor.
Wednesday, October 7
- Family Craft Time 1:00-2:30 p.m. | Kids Club
Join the Preschool Team for a fun family craft.
- Family Basketball 4:30-6:00 p.m. | Flexihall
Drop in and shoot some hoops with your family.
Thursday, October 8
- Little Wonders Outdoor Adventure* (Ages 2-6) 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. | Meet at the Stained Glass Meeting Room
Explore fall leaves and the outdoor world with magnifying glasses.
- Family Floor Hockey* (Ages 6+) 5:30-7:00 p.m. | Flexihall
Try some drills and skills with our facilitator and play a friendly pickup game.
Friday, October 9
- Movin’ & Groovin’* (Ages 2-6) 10:30-11:30 a.m. | Fieldhouse
Come dance, wiggle, tumble and toss!
- Glow Skate (Open to Everyone) 8:30-10:00 p.m. | ATCO Ice
Enjoy an evening skate with glow sticks, music, and fun on the ice.
*Age recommendations apply.
