A Transit transfer allows you to continue your trip on another bus without paying an additional fare. They can be used on any route, in any direction.
Transfers are only required when using a single transit fare. If you’re using a Transit pass, or Token Transit ticket on your phone, you don’t need a transfer!
Here’s how they work:
• Ask the driver for a transfer when you pay your fare.
• Keep your transfer with you during your trip.
• Show your transfer to the driver each time you board a bus.
How long are transfers good for?
• Transfers are valid for 90 minutes from the time of issue.
• You can make multiple connections within the 90-minute period.
Need more time?
Life happens. If your commute has changed, your bus is delayed, or you need additional time to complete your trip:
• Give your current transfer to the driver when boarding.
• Let the driver know you need more time to complete your trip.
• The driver will issue a new transfer so you can continue your journey.
We want to make sure passengers can complete their trip without paying an additional fare when travel takes longer than expected. If you receive a transfer at 2 pm, it’s valid until 3:30 pm, and can be used on any route during that time. If you’re still travelling after 3:30 pm, provide the expired transfer to the driver and request a new transfer to complete your trip.
Important
• Transfers are non-transferable.
• They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for fare.
• Drivers may refuse transfers that are altered, damaged, expired, or otherwise invalid.
