The Heritage Fund provides support for eligible projects in the following categories: restoration of heritage properties; enhancement of heritage properties; renovation of heritage properties to meet code requirements; increasing public awareness of heritage issues; and other purposes as specified by Council.

We’re now accepting applications for the Municipal Charges and Community Service Grant. This grant is available for municipal taxes or rent paid in lieu of taxes.

The Recreation Grant offers financial assistance to encourage volunteer community groups and organizations to further improve and develop recreation opportunities for Whitehorse citizens.
The Senior Utility Rebate is available to Whitehorse citizens aged 65 or older, or to surviving spouses who meet the program’s criteria. The Utility Rebate provides money back to citizens from fees paid under the water, sewer and garbage services up to a maximum of $500 per year. The deadline for applications was December 31, 2022.
