The City’s contractor, Castle Rock Enterprises, will be replacing the sanitary main at the intersection of Roundel and Summit Roads in Hillcrest from Thursday, July 17 to Thursday, July 24.
During this time, traffic and buses will be re-routed, and Route 101 bus stops on Sunset Drive North will be closed. The bus stop at Burns Road and Roundel Road will be temporarily relocated to just past Roundel Road on the east side of the street.
Buses will run in the opposite direction on the Hillcrest portion of the route, along Burns Road, Hillcrest Drive, the Park Lane loop and out again via Hillcrest Drive.
Airport service will not be affected. Buses will continue to the Erik Nielsen Whitehorse Airport after serving Hillcrest.
There may be some delays and Transit users are advised to check the TransLoc app for real-time information on bus routes.
Emergency vehicles will be permitted through the work zone as directed by traffic controllers.
The City thanks the public for their patience as we work on this important infrastructure project.
