Active commute trail counter to be installed

The City is installing a permanent trail counter on the Pine Street Trail in Porter Creek. The installation is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, September 16.

This is part of the City’s ongoing effort to collect information to better understand how and when people are using Whitehorse trails.

Work to install the trail counter will be underway during the day, outside of peak hours. Trail users can expect single-lane closures, but there will be no detours. Trail users are asked to use caution when in the area.
