Annual cemetery clean-up

As part of the City’s annual pre-winter maintenance, crews will be cleaning up grave sites at the Grey Mountain Cemetery starting on Tuesday, September 16.

In support of this annual maintenance, we kindly ask visitors to remove any personal items they wish to keep before this date. Faded artificial flowers or dead flowers will be discarded.

Keeping the cemetery clean, well-manicured, and safe for all, is important to the City. As adornments and decorations are placed and accumulate over time, they break or deteriorate, creating a challenging and unsafe situation for visitors and maintenance staff who take care of the cemetery.

Any remaining adornments will be removed, labelled, and held in storage for 120 days to allow time for retrieval.
