Bus shelter construction underway

The City of Whitehorse has begun construction of new bus shelter foundations at high-use bus stops to enhance comfort and accessibility for transit users.

Work will take place during non-peak traffic times and construction zones will be kept as compact as possible to minimize disruption.

Construction signage and equipment may be visible near bus stops at various times of day.

Temporary bus stop signage may be installed near construction areas to maintain service and allow safe access around work zones.

The work will be happening at the following bus stops:

Downtown
• 2nd Ave. and Shipyards Park
• 2nd Ave. and Ogilvie St.

Porter Creek
• Porter Creek Secondary School, southbound
• Porter Creek Secondary School, northbound

Canada Games Centre
• Hamilton Blvd. and Canada Games Centre
• Hamilton Blvd. and Valleyview walkway

Whistle Bend
• Casca Blvd. and Aksala Dr.
• Casca Blvd. and Leota St.
