E-Permitting System Launching April 29

The City of Whitehorse is launching a new e-permitting system for development and building permits on April 29, 2025.

This new digital platform will allow applicants to:

• Apply for building and development permits online.
• Know where your application stands with real-time updates.
• Submit documents and request inspections online at any time.
• Save time with faster streamlined approvals.
• No in-person visits required.

The City continues to take steps to improve permit processes, including making the building and develop permit application process faster and easier.

E-permitting applications will be accepted starting on April 29. Applicants can also continue to submit paper applications for building and development permits until the end of 2025. Starting in January 2026, the City will move to the new e-permitting system exclusively, and paper applications will no longer be accepted for building and development permits.

Staff will be available in-person to assist applicants with the new e-permitting system at the Land and Building Services office, located in the Calcite Business Centre at Unit #6 – 151 Industrial Road.
