Join the City of Whitehorse and Zero Waste Yukon by keeping perfectly good items out of the landfill. Sign up for a booth, come as a buyer or join Zero Waste Yukon in a variety of free workshops throughout the day.

Zero Waste Free Workshops
While workshops are offered at no cost, they are subject to first come, first serve availability. Workshop registration will be in person on the day of the event at the Zero Waste booth.
Zero Waste Yukon
Zero Waste Yukon is hosting a clothing swap! Bring clothing you no longer need or wear and swap it out for something new-to-you! All clothing donations MUST be washed. Come check out our information booth and chat with our staff! We have big plans for the summer and we’re excited to tell you all about it! Zero Waste Yukon is the education, outreach, and advocacy arm of Raven ReCentre. Since 2014, Zero Waste Yukon has been working to inspire change through public education and engagement, events, and support of Zero Waste initiatives in the Yukon Territory. Leslie Leong
Bring your old clothes, t-shirts, jackets, pants, skirts, even the kitchen towel will work! Yukon artist Leslie Leong will teach people to print on cloth using lino blocks to make their old clothes new again. Leslie uses old house paint that she found at Yukon Transfer Stations as ink (another sustainability aspect)! Note: smoother cloth items work better
Computers for Schools Yukon
We are Computers for School Yukon! We receive various tech donations from the Government or individuals and do our best to fully refurbish them so that we can give away or sell at a low cost to Students/Teachers, Non-profit organizations and First Nation Organizations! For the Community Garage Sale we will be offering general tech support including basic repairs, recommendations or consultations. We may also accept tech donations at our booth but if it’s a large amount of items we request a scheduled visit to our warehouse to drop those off.
ChainWhip Bike Coop
The Whitehorse Bike Kitchen encourages a do-it-yourself attitude towards bicycle maintenance and repair. We work to enable community members to fix, build and use bike equipment for the purpose of transportation and fun with limited barriers. The Bike Kitchen operates out of ChainWhip, our volunteer run bike repair space. With goals of flipping bikes and connecting community members, we are proud to support the Whitehorse cycling community!

Yukonstruct Repair Cafe
Yukonstruct will host mini Repair Cafe where volunteers will help people repair their own broken items, or those that could use some maintenance and TLC. The volunteers can demonstrate and help troubleshoot and repair small electrical appliances (like toasters, blenders, rice cookers, headphones, radios, etc). We also hope to have a sewing machine and show how minor fabric repairs or improvements can made on clothes, boots, etc. In the event you can’t make it to the Indoor Garage Sale, you can come to the full scale Repair Cafe which is held on the last Thursday of each month (6 to 9 pm) in the MakeSpace at Northlight Innovation centre (2180 – 2nd Ave).
Whitehorse Tool Library
The Whitehorse Tool Library (WTL) is a community tool-sharing initiative, in which members can borrow from a variety of tools and equipment for a limited time for their own projects, and then return them to be used by other community-members. The purpose of the project is 3-fold: 1) To increase the accessibility of these tools, particularly for people who do not have the financial means to purchase the tools themselves or who have limited space to store their own tools; 2) To reduce waste by reducing the need for people to purchase tools themselves, and also be a place where people can donate tools/equipment that is still in working condition; 3) To be a learning space for people to develop their skills related to various types of tool-use. The WTL began as an independent, volunteer-run initiative in 2020 and became a part of Raven ReCentre in April 2024.
Vendor FAQs
Q: When is load in / set up?
A: Saturday, May 11 between 8 am and 10:45 am. Doors open for the Garage Sale at 11 am.
Q: Where do I load-in?
A: Head to the ATCO rink loading bay door on the parking lot side of the CGC. Staff will meet you with available trolleys if needed. You’ll see us, we’ll make it obvious.
Q: How big are the booths? What do you get?
A: You get two 8-foot tables in the shape of an “L”. You’re welcome to use the 8′ x 8′ floor space within your booth to display your items.
Q: When is take-down?
A: Saturday from 3:30 to 6 pm.

Bring a buddy to help with your stuff, your own tape/hangers, and a float. ATM is available by Booster Juice.
