Partners at this week’s event include:
– Yukon Invasive Species Council
Explore the colourful world of plants and make ‘nature paint’ from plant pigments. Invasive plants can be safely harvested to make homemade paints for unique works of art.
– City’s Water and Waste team
Learn about waste diversion using colouring and games. Find out about how your family can reduce wildlife attractants.
– YukonU Youth Moving Mountains
Try out STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) activities with Yukon University.
– City’s Recreation team
Play outdoor lawn games and make sidewalk chalk art with the Rec team.
– City’s Sustainability team
Explore ways – big and small – to act on climate change, and leave a lighter footprint.
– Humane Society Yukon
The Humane Society team will be demonstrating how to safely handle dogs and puppies and teaching basic dog and puppy care.
– City’s Parks team
Parks will have toys, freezies, and Klondike Kettle Corn to share!
– City’s Bylaw team
Learn about ATV safety from our Bylaw crew.
