FireSmart fall projects underway

This fall, the City of Whitehorse is launching FireSmart initiatives in Cowley Creek and Mary Lake to reduce wildfire risk.

This work will include:

• Removing select conifer trees

• Pruning conifers

• Removing debris

While work is being completed, residents may notice equipment and noise.

Residents are asked to pay attention to signage and give crews space to work, which will include chipping on-site.
