FireSmart work will be happening in the Robert Service Way area throughout February and March.
The City’s contractor will be selectively removing and spacing more flammable coniferous trees. More fire-resistant deciduous trees will stay in place.
This project will help protect potential evacuation routes, infrastructure and residential areas.
There will be no burning on-site. Debris will be chipped and removed.
The public is asked avoid the area while work is underway.
