            Housing Action Plan survey

            October 2, 2026

The City is developing a Housing Action Plan to help address the gap between the number of homes available and the needs of the community.

The Housing Action Plan builds on the work of the Housing Needs Assessment, published in January 2026, which provided a better understanding of Whitehorse’s current and future housing needs.

The Housing Action Plan will identify actions the City can take to help address housing challenges and support a wider range of housing options.

Residents are encouraged to provide input into the plan by completing a survey.

The survey shares key findings from the Housing Needs Assessment and asks what you think of some of the ideas the City is exploring. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete and is anonymous.

The survey is open until Friday, October 23.

On October 1, the City hosted a webinar in partnership with Cityspaces Consulting to introduce work conducted so far and provide an opportunity for feedback on the proposed Housing Action Plan framework and next steps.

You can view a recording of the webinar, find more information about the Housing Action Plan and fill out the survey at engagewhitehorse.ca.
