New Weigh Scale Coming To Waste Management Facility

Smaller vehicles coming into the Waste Management Facility’s transfer station will be redirected beginning August 20, as work gets underway to install a new weigh scale.

All small vehicle loads will enter the transfer station through the exit and check in with staff there before dumping. Vehicles will then exit over the existing scale and pay at the gatehouse. Large loads will continue to use the existing scale for entry and exit.

Exiting traffic should yield to incoming vehicles. Anyone visiting the facility is asked to be cautious, follow directions from staff and posted signage.

The installation of the new weigh scale is part of a number of upgrades being made to improve operations at the facility. Construction began in July and is expected to continue into the fall.
