            Polls open for 2024 Election

            October 17, 2024

            Polls are open for the 2024 Whitehorse Municipal Election. Eligible voters can vote at any polling station. Pick the one that is most convenient. Polls will be open until 8 p.m. Polling stations are located at:

            Canada Games Centre, 200 Hamilton Boulevard
            Sternwheeler Hotel and Conference Centre, 201 Wood Street
            École Émilie-Tremblay, 20 Falcon Drive
            Porter Creek Secondary School, 1405 Hickory Street
            St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Secondary School, 16 Duke Road

            What to bring when you vote
            Bring one piece of photo ID that includes your full legal name and current residential address, such as a Yukon Driver’s Licence.

            If your photo ID does not include your current address, bring an additional official document, like a utility bill, with your name and current address.

            If you don’t have photo ID, bring two other pieces of identification showing your name and address. At least one of these must have your date of birth and provide proof of Whitehorse residency, such as a Yukon Health Care Insurance Plan card.

            How to register to vote on Election Day
            If you are not already registered to vote, you can register at the polling station when you go to vote.

            Who can vote?
            To be eligible to vote in the 2024 Whitehorse Municipal Election you need to:

            • be a Canadian citizen;
            • be 18 years of age or older on Election Day, October 17, 2024; and
            • have resided in Whitehorse for at least one year prior to October 17, 2024.
