Pre-Approved Housing Design Models

The City is now accepting submissions from home builders and developers to secure a pre-approved model design for single and duplex home building projects.

A pre-approved, Building Code compliant, house model can serve as a ‘repeat’ that can be efficiently built on multiple legal lots across Whitehorse.

The new City-wide program of pre-approved model designs will allow for expedited building permit issuance.

This is part of the work underway to improve the City’s building permit process and support local development. As part of this work, the City is also introducing a new e-permitting system for development and building permits that is set to launch on April 29.
