Tuesday, November 11, is Remembrance Day.
The Whitehorse Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is hosting a Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Canada Games Centre. Doors will be open at 9 a.m. for those with mobility difficulties and at 9:30 a.m. for the general public.
Most City facilities, including City Hall, will be closed and there will be some service impacts.
The Canada Games Centre will be open for regular programming with reduced hours from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Frank Slim Building in Shipyards Park will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Weekend service will be in effect for Transit.
The Waste Management Facility will be open, and Curbside Collection will continue for Downtown, Marwell, Takhini, Valleyview, Hillcrest, Arkell, Granger, and Ingram.
Recycling that would normally be collected by Whitehorse Blue Bin Recycling on November 11 will be collected on Monday, November 10. Please note that recycling is now managed by Circular Materials.
