The annual Yukon Rendezvous Festival is underway in Whitehorse.
Residents are advised that the Rendezvous Parade will be happening Sunday, February 22, starting at 4 p.m.
The parade will begin at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Main Street, proceeding along Main Street to Front Street, concluding at the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre.
Access to Main Street between Sixth Avenue and Front Street will be blocked for approximately 15 minutes beginning at 4 p.m. Front Street will be closed from Main Street to Black Street for up to 45 minutes beginning at 3:45 p.m.
There will be no parking on Main Street between Fourth Avenue and Front Street and on Front Street between Main Street and Black Street beginning at 2:30 p.m. for the duration of the parade.
Bylaw Services will be conducting traffic control and minor interruptions to traffic are expected.
Transit riders can expect minor delays of 10-15 minutes downtown and are encouraged to use the Transloc App to get real-time updates on bus locations and schedules.
