Road closures for Yukoner Appreciation Week

As part of Yukoner Appreciation Week, the Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce is hosting a free all-ages concert at 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 25 at Third Avenue and Steele Street.

To accommodate the event, some roads downtown will be closed from 6 p.m. on Friday, October 24 until 8 a.m. on Sunday, October 26.

The closures will be in place at:

• Third Avenue from Main Street to the alleyway across from the Java Connection.
• Steele Street from Second Avenue to Fourth Avenue.

The alleyway behind TD Bank will remain open, but no through traffic will be permitted.

To help ensure the safety, Bylaw Services will conduct continuous patrols to assist with traffic control throughout Saturday.

Those who will be in the area are advised to expect increased pedestrian traffic, be cautious, and follow the direction of traffic control.
