Safety improvements coming to Range Road

We’re taking action to make the Range Road and Normandy Road area safer for all road users.

In the coming days, crews will introduce new signs and measures to increase sightlines for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles.

Traffic calming curbs will be put in place to calm traffic and prevent drivers from using the parking lane on Range Road to bypass other vehicles at the pedestrian crossing at Normandy Road.

The area is part of the City’s active transportation network and an important route for all road users.

Safety is top of mind with these improvements, with more residents choosing active transportation to navigate the city, especially in warmer weather.

These changes will enhance safety for road users as planning work continues on longer-term safety improvements to the area.
