Second Avenue lane closure scheduled

The northbound lane of Second Avenue will be closed near the Jim Smith Building beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 25 as part of private development work.

Detours via Robert Service Way will be in place with the road expected to reopen Saturday, September 26 by 3 p.m.

There will be impacts to Transit and riders can expect delays impacting all routes.

The Yukon Legislative Building (Jim Smith Building) bus stop on Second Avenue will be closed.

The bus stop at the SS Klondike on Robert Service Way will be closed for Routes 302 (Copper Ridge South) and 101 (City Central).

Riders can use the Transloc app to see where buses are in real-time. Visit whitehorse.ca/transit for bus schedules and information.

Road users are asked to follow signage and directions from traffic control personnel and allow for additional travel time through the area.
