Temporary closure on Fourth Avenue

A section of Fourth Avenue, between Hoge Street and the roundabout at Robert Service Way, is scheduled to be closed from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 28.

Crews will be working on repairs to the rail crossing to improve safety for road users.

A detour will be in place for road users, including Transit Services, along Lowe Street and Third Avenue to Second Avenue.

Bus routes 101, 202 – City Central, and Porter Creek West – will be impacted with riders asked to embark or disembark at the Yukon Visitor Information Centre. Signs will be in place to direct riders.

Bus routes 102, 201, and 302 – Riverdale Loop, Porter Creek East, and Copper Ridge South – will not be impacted, continuing to stop at the SS Klondike and Jim Smith Building.

Those in the area are asked to follow detours, signage and drive with caution.
