Tobogganing Fridays return to Shipyards Park

Grab a sled and head down to Shipyards Park for another season of Tobogganing Fridays this winter.

From 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. every Friday between November 7 and December 19, Parks staff will be serving up hot chocolate and snow activities with a lot of fun.

We’ll have puzzles and colouring inside the Frank Slim Building, where a variety of community groups and partners will be sharing information, resources, and activities with visitors.

We invite children and their caregivers to join us for afternoon sliding, warm drinks and activities.

Guardian supervision is required, and caregivers should be on sleds with children five years and under.

Out of an abundance of caution, the event will be cancelled if the temperature is -20 Celsius or colder.

A few sleds will be available for use at the park, but participants are encouraged to bring their own.
