Haeckel Hill Wind Project

Until fall 2023, there will be periodic road closures in the Haeckel Hill area. Along with the wind turbine components, heavy machinery such as excavators, dump trucks, graders, and concrete trucks will be brought into the area to improve road conditions during this time.

The Haeckel Hill access road will remain closed to the public from April to November 2023. This road closure is to provide a safe pathway for heavy machinery and equipment to be brought up the hill during construction, and enables the completion of long-term improvements to the access road itself.

Please note: this is not a City of Whitehorse project, and all questions and concerns should be directed towards the project team.
