Work begins on Takhini Sanitary Trunk Main

The City’s contractor, Norcope Enterprises, is beginning work on replacement of the Takhini Sanitary Trunk Main along Mountain View Drive and the Trans Canada Trail.

Starting today June 30, the northern end of the Trans Canada Trail between Mountain View Drive and Range Road will be closed until mid-September. Construction crews have also started work along the west side of Mountain View Drive.

This work will include clearing, excavation, and pipe installation. Road users are asked exercise caution in the area, to watch for crews, and drive to conditions. Work along Mountain View Drive is expected to be complete by late July.
