The City’s summer transportation maintenance work is underway.
Residents are reminded to pay attention to signage, traffic control measures throughout the city and to slow down and give crews space to work safely.
City work crews are out fixing potholes, sealing cracks, sweeping streets and doing other maintenance work to ensure roads are safe and in good condition for residents.
In partnership with the Government of Yukon, crews will also begin road line painting during the week of May 19. This work will begin early in the morning each day and the bulk of the work is expected to take approximately one week, depending on the weather. Painting of crosswalks, arrows and other indicators will then occur throughout the summer.
Road users are asked to slow down, exercise caution and follow signage in work zones.
We appreciate the public’s patience as we work to keep transportation routes safe.
